Louisiana Central announced this week that Chris Masingill, a nationally respected leader in economic and community development and current National Advisor with TPMA (Thomas P. Miller & Associates), has been named the organization’s new President and Chief Executive Officer by a unanimous board vote.
Masingill brings with him more than two decades of executive leadership experience in regional economic development. Most recently, he served as Chief Executive Officer of the St. Tammany Corporation, the economic development organization for St. Tammany Parish, where he led strategic initiatives to drive investment, job creation, and long-term growth since 2018.

Masingill’s career includes serving as a Resident Scholar at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, where he provided thought leadership on inclusive economic development and workforce strategies. From 2010 to 2017, he was the U.S. Senate-confirmed, presidential appointed Federal Co-Chairman of the Delta Regional Authority, a federal-state partnership dedicated to spurring economic development across the Mississippi River Delta and Alabama Black Belt regions. In that role, he directed regional investments, built multi-state partnerships, and helped expand job opportunities in underserved communities.
