DIRECTOR OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT & COMMUNITY RESILIENCY
Expertise: Economic Development
Team Member Since: 2019
What attracted you to economic development and community resiliency?
When I was a little boy, I would build cities in my backyard. As I grew older, I was intrigued by the differences between communities on how they succeeded economically or not. To this day, I’m still fascinated by how different human societies, nations, communities, and neighborhoods succeed, and what that success means or not to the next generation.
What TPMA value means the most to you and why?
Collaboration and Team — Each of us is only as smart and successful as those who we collaborate with in creating something useful for our clients and the communities we serve.
What inspires you?
Turning a liability into an asset for an community, neighborhood, or individual. “Making lemonade — out of lemons!”
What is the most impactful project you have been a part of?
The Opportunity Zone projects have been the most impactful projects that I’ve been involved with since coming to TPMA. There is a great potential upside for those communities who can effectively organize around their opportunity zones to not only attract more investment, but benefit those in most need as well.
