Job Description

The successful Project Consultant, DEI, will support project scoping and delivery of projects related to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion solutions for TPMA constituents. Duties will include research, data modeling and analysis, strategic planning, methodology development, and consultation on all projects related to DEI initiatives. Consultants will partner with internal team members for project coordination and will demonstrate expertise in Workforce, Research, Evaluation, and Economic Development especially within the DEI space. TPMA is committed to delivering results-oriented consulting practices for stakeholders wanting to drive success through DEI efforts.

Job Responsibilities

(include by not limited to)
  • Development of deliverable outlines and content based on the assigned project plan
  • Quantitative and qualitative data gathering and analysis
  • Draft and/or approve written reports; prepare and deliver customer presentations
  • Coordinate with Project Manager and customer to ensure successful project delivery
  • On-site project support, including attending meetings and translating discussions and research into narrative
  • Hosting and facilitating focus groups and applicable interviews
  • Optimize future opportunities within the account based on customer feedback and outcomes of each project
  • Ensure profitability of each assignment in conjunction with the Project Manager and Operations team; delegating work as needed to meet this objective
  • Ongoing development of customer relationships
  • Travel within U.S. may be required

Success Criteria

  • Depth of knowledge within DEI practices demonstrated through education and delivery of successful programming driving positive outcomes in diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • 5+ years experience designing and delivering DEI solutions in complex organizations and communities
  • 1+ year experience in workforce development, education, or economic development
  • Passion for developing platforms and solutions to improve DEI awareness and action within an organization, enterprise, or community
  • Proven verbal and written communication skills including project proposals and solutions
  • High level of comfort discussing DEI initiatives and providing learning opportunities for others to engage in meaningful allyship
  • Attention to detail and ability to balance multiple priorities while delivering consistent results
  • Highly skilled in Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook
  • Must possess internet research skills via online databases, publications, and company websites
  • Expertise in document formatting/ graphic design a plus, Adobe Creative Suite preferred
  • Demonstrates a high sense of urgency to communicate challenges, offer solutions, and deliver results
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communication, Public Policy, or related fields desired
