Job Description

Thomas P Miller & Associates (TPMA) is expanding our Project Consulting team to meet the needs of our clients and the ecosystems we support. Successful Project Consultants will support project scoping and delivery of projects related to Broadband and Technology Development for TPMA constituents. Duties will include research, data modeling and analysis, strategic planning, methodology development, and consultation on all projects within assigned development areas such as broadband development and IT infrastructure. Consultants will partner with internal team members for project coordination and will demonstrate expertise in Workforce, Research, Evaluation, and Economic Development especially within Technology proposal development.

Job Responsibilities

(include by not limited to)
  • Development of deliverable outlines and content based on the assigned project plan
  • Quantitative and qualitative data gathering and analysis
  • Draft and/or approve written reports, prepare and deliver customer presentations
  • Coordinate with Project Manager and customer to ensure successful project delivery
  • On-site project support, including attending meetings and translating discussions and research into narrative
  • Hosting and facilitating focus groups and applicable interviews
  • Optimize future opportunities within the account based on customer feedback and outcomes of each project
  • Ensure profitability of each assignment in conjunction with the Project Manager and Operations team; delegating work as needed to meet this objective
  • Ongoing development of customer relationships
  • Travel within U.S. may be required



Success Criteria

  • Depth of knowledge within IT infrastructure and telecom systems including broadband connectivity and system deployment
  • 5+ years experience consulting on the design and delivery of broadband systems in complex environments
  • 1+ year experience in workforce development, education, or economic development
  • Passion for developing platforms and solutions to connect constituents using secure technology
  • Proven verbal and written communication skills including project diagrams
  • Attention to detail and ability to balance multiple priorities while delivering consistent results
  • Highly skilled in Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook
  • Must possess internet research skills via online databases, publications, and company websites
  • Expertise in document formatting/ graphic design a plus, Adobe Creative Suite preferred
  • Demonstrates a high sense of urgency to communicate challenges, offer solutions, and deliver results

Education/Training and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT/MIS, Business, Public Administration, or related field
